The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan

The Red Pyramid is an adventure story about two kids named Carter and Sadie. Their dad came to see Sadie because Carter and Sadie were separated when their mom died. They were born into the line of pharaohs, which meant that they were powerful magicians. When they were young, on Sadie`s birthday, Sadie’s cake exploded because Sadie and Carter were fighting. Their dad took Carter, and their grandparents took Sadie. When their dad came to visit Sadie, they went to a museum. When they got to the museum, their dad accidentally caused an explosion and unleashed five gods. One god named Set was one of the gods unleashed. Set wanted to take over the world. Carter`s dad hosted Osiris’ body, but Set did not like Osiris and trapped him in a coffin. Carter and Sadie found their uncle. He taught them the magic to host a god. At the end of the story, they must battle Set.  Do they save their dad or not? To find out, read The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan.I would rate it a 5/5.I thought that it was very exciting because there were a lot of cliff hangers.  

The Voyagers Project Alpha by D. J. MacHale

The Voyagers is a about 8 finalist who are competing to find the four people that will get to ride a spaceship into deep space. They are going into space to find a source that has enough energy to power earth. The spaceship is called The cloud leopard. The first competition was to get the gold flag in the dark. One of the other was getting to the other side without getting seen by the robots or having a plate slide out from under you.They trained in flight simulator.They lift off 5,4,3,2,1.they enter gamma speed. Do they find the source or not?Does earth go dark or not.To find out more read The Voyagers project alpha.This book had a lot of details and juicy words.
